Jack Dolinsky, age 91, of West Hartford died peacefully at home on November 5, 2014 after a long illness. He was born in Hartford, son of Jewish immigrants from eastern Europe, Morris Dolinsky and Rose Kushner. After graduation from Hartford’s Weaver High School in 1941 he served with distinction in the US Army in the Pacific theater during World War II. He then attended technical college after which he founded Nutmeg Screen Process Company, a silk screen printing establishment, with his twin brother, Saul. The company thrived for over 30 years. He was also active in real estate in the Hartford area. His 4 siblings predecease him: Sam Dolinsky, Betty Goldman, Nora Kaplan and Saul Dolin. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Rosanne Dolinsky and his children, Paul Dolinsky, MD and his wife Diana Garey, and Janis Krissinger and her husband Ken Krissinger; and his grandchildren, Laura, Michelle, Elizabeth and Andrew and by many other loving friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Sunday, November 9, 2014 in the Chapel of the Weinstein’s Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford with Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Beth Hillel Memorial Park, 15 Wolcott Rd, East Granby. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hadassah (c/o Faith Helene, 43 Carlyle Rd, West Hartford, CT 06117).
