My deepest condolences to Joan's family. She was one of the finest and sweetest people I have ever known. Knowing her through our dystonia support group, led by her husband Larry, I never heard any ill will she had towards anyone. She was a rare person indeed. I can just imagine how she will be missed by all who knew her.

I worked with Joan for many years in the Library Media Services Department for the West Hartford Public Schools. Joan processed the books for our elementary libraries. She loved libraries and books, and enjoyed her work. I remember the many thoughtfully hand crafted cards that Joan made for me decorated with her art and calligraphy. I will miss Joan's kind heart.
