Obituary

Katharine Wilheim,74,of Hartford, formerly West Hartford, died unexpectedly, February 1, 2017. She was born in New York, the daughter of Paul Wilheim and Denise (Elsie Traub) Wilheim. She is survived by a brother, Martin J. Wilheim, NYC and Sarasota, FL, Nieces, Andrea(John) Falco, NJ, and Emily(Peter) Martin,CA. She is also survived by great niece Ellie, and great nephews Justin, Evan, Sam and Noah, an aunt and several cousins and friends. Katharine loved people and cherished her friendships. She loved horses, the shore, watching figure skating, attending the theatre, concerts and loved fashion. She enjoyed buying the perfect gift for the special people in her life. Her family wishes to thank the wonderful caring staff of The Retreat/Hebrew Healthcare and Companions and Homemakers, who so lovingly cared for her recently. In leu of flowers, donations may be sent in her memory to Congregation Beth Israel, West Hartford, CT. A memorial service will be held at Congregation Beth Israel Synagogue, 701 Farmington Ave.,West Hartford, CT 06119 at 1:00 PM Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, followed by a light luncheon. A private family memorial is planned at a later date.
