Many members of my family worked for D&L.
Ann Seaman, William Seaman, Theresa Chester and her daughter, Eileen. We all had Larry for our boss.
It was a pleasure knowing him.

Diana - my thoughts & prayers are with you & your family during this difficult time. Larry was a true "gentleman"& I enjoyed sitting with him at different horseshows. I always found if you listened carefully you could learn something from him - be it about horses or life!

Mary & I are so sorry to hear of the passing of Larry Davidson. I first got to know Larry when we were in Kindergarden together. He went on to bigger and better things, however, we always remained good friends through these many years. He was a great person. He will be missed.

We have known this special family for years becasue of the horse show industry.

We still see Diana and, of course, visit with her online quite often. She is special to us and always takes the time to keep us up to date on the family....

In the glory days of D&L, the Davidson brothers, were respectfully and affectionately called "Mr." before their first names. "Mr. Larry" was a gentleman of the old school. He certainly knew how to get things done without a lot of drama or debilitating deliberation. The early 1970s represented a very different business climate from today. When I was in my first year with the company, my husband and I were trying to get our first mortgage, but our bank would not recognize the earnings of a wife. Somehow, Mr. Larry got wind of it and made it his business. He sent us to "his" bank, with word that I was going to have a job as long as I wanted one. I will be forever grateful for his unsolicited intervention on our behalf. He was an astute businessman with a real heart. With genuine respect and affection, he will always be "Mr. Larry" to me. Heartfelt sympathy to the entire family, Sharon Kelly

It is with great respect and fondness that we remember Larry. For many years we shared the joys and sorrows of the horse business with Larry and Diana. There were some great horses, many championships and good memories. Larry was a generous and accomplished man who will be missed by many. We extend our most sincere sympathy to your family. Dear Ned,Larry Jr and extended families;
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of your father. I have many fond memories of you father, especially his interactions with Forest Winslow and Henry Kwaak. These many years later I still smile at the conversations between them. I do remember one time your father asking Forest on a Monday how his weekend went. After hearing his response your father said shaking his head, "I can't believe your not in jail, how do you do it?" at which point Henry who was standing quietly next to Forest put his hands on Forest's shoulders and said, "please no more questions for my client" and ushered him from your fathers office. Your father roared with laughter.

Sincerely,

Mike Paigo
