Leonard Rivlin, 85, of South Windsor, CT, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan (Samett) Rivlin. Born on March 26, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Samuel and Evelyn (Zimmet) Rivlin. He had degrees from University of Pittsburg and Brooklyn Polytech in Applied Mathematics. Leonard had highly responsible positions in Operations Management, taught college classes, and coauthored several publications. He was gregarious, philanthropic, and a sports enthusiast. He was extremely devoted to his entire family. Leonard is survived by his two daughters, Michele Karasik and her husband, Bruce, and Lisa Lanteri and her husband, Joseph, all South Windsor, CT as well as his beloved grandchildren: Marisa and Sarah Karasik, and Kara, Joshua, and Jessica Lanteri and extended family and friends. Funeral services will take place at 1:30pm on Friday, January 6 at Beth Olam Cemetery, 71 Edith Road, South Windsor, CT with Rabbi Alan Lefkowitz officiating. Immediately following the interment, the family will receive family and friends at Leonard Rivlin’s home in South Windsor. Shiva/Calling Hours will be Sunday, 2-6pm and Monday-Wednesday, 4-7pm at Leonard’s home.
