Lynne (Goldfarb) Gordon, 60, of Cliffmount Dr., Bloomfield, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 with her family by her side. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Sydney (Hammer) Goldfarb. A graduate of CW Post College, Brookville, NY, she also graduated from Hahnemann Medical College, Philadelpha, PA with a degree in Art Therapy. Lynne was the Executive Director of the Hartford Jewish Film Festival for many years. Lynne also owned and operated a children?s clothing store, Razzle Dazzle, in West Hartford Center. She was a member of Beth El Temple of West Hartford. She leaves her husband, Dr. Robert L. Gordon; two daughters: Lori Gates and her husband Peter of Scituate, MA, Emily Shamash and her husband Hazzan Brian Shamash of Melville, NY; two grandchildren: Zachary Jaden Gates and Ella Ruby Shamash; a brother: Elliot Goldfarb, of St. Louis, MO, and a host of loving friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 12:30 PM in the Sanctuary of Beth El Temple, 2626 Albany Ave., West Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen and Hazzan Brian Baruch Shamash officiating. Interment will follow in the Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon. Shiva will be observed at her home, 49 Cliffmount Dr., Bloomfield, with minyan at 7:30 PM.
