Marcus Lowy, 61, of Maple Street, Manchester, formerly of West Hartford and Montreal, Quebec, Canada died Tuesday, November 20, 2007). Born in Austria, he was the son of Edith (Bergfeld) Lowy and the late Ignatz Lowy of Montreal. Besides his mother, he leaves two sons: Joshua Lowy and his wife Jody, and Jason Lowy and his wife Laura, all of Granby; three grandchildren: Noah, Tovah, and Jack Lowy; a brother, Alex and his wife Julia of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; a sister, Gina Ravinski and her husband, Abe, of Montreal; beloved companion, Noreen Leber of Manchester and her children, Richie and Vickie; nephews, Andre and Benjamin and other friends and family. A generous, caring man who loved life and was adored and remembered by all those who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT with Rabbi Gary Atkins officiating. Internment will follow in the Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, East Granby. A Memorial Period will be observed at the home of Joshua Lowy at 7 Round hill Road, Granby, CT through Wednesday November 28.
