Marion Wolotsky Attas, 93, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in Delray Beach, FL. A lifelong resident of Hartford and West Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Ida Wolotsky. Wonderful summers were spent at Old Colony Beach until retirement to Florida. She was a founding member of Beth Shalom Synagogue in Hartford. Marion was predeceased by her brother Maurice Wallet, and her loving husband of 43 years, Myron Attas. She leaves behind her son Allen and wife Florence; daughter Andrea deHaas and husband Siegfried; grandchildren: Aric Attas and Annabel Robertson, David Attas and Marlaine Philtott, Sara deHaas and Lauren deHaas; great grandchildren: Meier, Aaron, Alexandra and Jenna Attas. She also leaves niece and nephew Roberta Plaut, Harvey Wallet; and sisters and brother-in-law Sylvia Cordova, Eleanor Cordova and Lillian and Milton Brownstein and their families. Mom, you will be missed.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11:30 AM in the Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, East Granby. A memorial period will be observed at the home of her daughter, 35 West Ridge Dr., West Hartford, through Sunday, 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Association for Community Living, 900 Asylum St., Hartford 06105.
