Mark A. Norman, 76 years of age, of Bloomfield, died Friday, April 15, 2016. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Louis and Berte (Ganson) Norman. Mark graduated from Conard High School in 1958 and attended the University of Hartford. He spent much of his life as a developer and contractor and was founder of M.A.N. Associates. Most recently, Mark served as a member on The State of Connecticut Property’s Review Board. Mark was a devoted husband and father who took an active part in his sons’ sports activities and also enjoyed playing golf. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughters and cared very much for all his family and friends. He leaves his wife, Lauren (Nyary) Norman; his son, Stephen Norman, his wife Donna, and granddaughter’s Lilyan and Melanie, of Bloomfield, NJ. He was pre-deceased by his son Larry Norman.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Howard Herman officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Ave., West Hartford. Following the interment the family will receive relatives and friends at their home in Bloomfield, Ct. and on Wednesday, April 20. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to JDRF.
