Adelberg

Obituary

Merwin Alfred Adelberg passed away on Saturday morning, (June 8, 2013) at the age of 85. He was born in Hartford, son of Estelle and Benjamin Adelberg. He was a graduate of Weaver High School and the University of Connecticut. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Korea. Mr. Adelberg was co-owner of the Harris-Adelberg Insurance Agency in West Hartford. He was well respected in the insurance industry having served as president of the CPCU Society and the Independent Agents Association. Additionally he had a CLU designation. He leaves his loving wife, Barbara Richman Adelberg to whom he was married for 62 years, and three children, David Adelberg of Falls Church, VA and his wife Mary Alice Adelberg, Charles Adelberg of San Jose, CA and his wife Davida Adelberg, and Susan Dubin of Brookline, MA and her husband Benjamin Dubin. He also leaves four grandchildren, Janine Adelberg, Daniel Adelberg, Mayer Adelberg and Jessica Dubin. The funeral service will be Monday, June 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT with burial in Beth Israel cemetery Avon.
