Merwin S. Orenstein, of Bainton Road, West Hartford, husband of the late Selma (Beck) Orenstein, died Saturday (July 22, 2006). Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Sigmund and Bertha (Feirberg) Orenstein. He was a graduate of Bryant College and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He established, together with his late partner Al Kling, Kling and Orenstein CPAs and practiced for over 40 years. He was a member of Temple Beth Israel, West Hartford, American and Connecticut Societies of CPA’s, West Hartford Regents, and a former member of Level Lodge #137 A.F. & A.M. He leaves a son, Robert Orenstein and his wife, Cheryl of West Hartford; a daughter, Susan DeMartino and her husband, Robert of West Hartford; and four grandchildren, Michael and Julie Orenstein and Jeffrey and Matthew DeMartino. The family wishes to thank Beverly Davis and Ethel Wilson for their care and devotion. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 25 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, with Rabbi Stephen Fuchs officiating. Interment will follow in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Jackson St., Avon.
