Paul Levine of West Hartford, Connecticut and Boca Raton, Florida died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 86 on January 23, 2024 on his 64th wedding anniversary. Born in 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, Paul was an athlete, a supreme jokester, and the best friend anyone could have. He met the love of his life, Shelley, when he was 19 and she was 16, who he leaves behind. He returned home to New York from the University of Rhode Island to be closer to his future wife. Together they were a special and beautiful pair. Paul was a successful C.P.A. and an even more successful family man, raising his two children Steven and Holly (Hageman) in a loving home and community in Port Washington, NY. He will be sorely missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter, Matthew Levine and his wife Emily, Jacqueline Hehl and her husband Stephen, Vivienne Levine, Maxwell Diamond, Kyle Hageman, Samuel Hageman, and great granddaughter Hallie Hehl. He is also survived by his sister, Judith Kossuth, daughter in law Erica Levine, son in law Christopher Hageman, and all those who loved him as the loyal and spirited person that he was. He had the good fortune to live life on his own terms and left his physical body that way too. This world was a better place for the 86 years he lived and his family will cherish all of the wonderful memories we hold forever.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 26th at 1:00 p.m. at 51 Jackson Street, Avon, CT. A gathering and Shiva will be held directly afterwards at Mrs. Levine’s home in West Hartford.
