Robert “Goldy” S. Goldberg of Colchester, was born September 26, 1946; he passed away on February 5th, 2024, at Middlesex Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Bernard A. Goldberg and Rosalyn Katz Goldberg. Goldy moved through life to the rhythm of his passions, which included a profound love for science fiction and fantasy books, music, animals, chili peppers, and his extended family. He was a long-time Colchester Fish & Game Club member and a proud graduate of UCONN where he studied Animal Science. He leaves behind his sister Judy Singer of West Hartford, his daughters Caitlin Pach (CT) and Sarah Boudreaux (NC), and his son David Boop (CO). He also will be missed by his nephews, and his many cousins. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 8, at noon at the Colchester Jewish Aid Cemetery, Gillette’s Lane, Colchester.
