Rywka Lejfer Lew, born September 1, 1923 in Nemenchine, Poland, died July 10, 2005 in Chesterfield, MO. Beloved wife of the late Israel Lew. Loving and devoted mother of Dr. Judel (Dr. Susan) Lew and the late Johanan Lew. Devoted grandmother of Jason Lew, Jeffrey Lew, Dr. Jenna Lew-Feit (Corey), Sara and Lisa Frieberger. Sister of the late Beryl (Mania) Lejfer, the late David Lejfer, the late Shmuel Lejfer, the late Hirschel Lejfer, the late Rachel (Avram) Lachovitsky and the late Devorah Peru. Beloved aunt of David (Cheryl) Lejfer of Simsbury, Jeffrey (Michele) Lejfer of Manalapan, NJ; Sidney (Nancy) Lejfer of Boston, MA; Hemda (Ira) Gold of Springfield, VA; and Michelle (Alan) Feitlinger of Cave Creek, AZ. Great aunt to many, friend to all, brave survivor to the Holocaust. Rywka was brilliantly and compassionately cared for by Dr. Robert Uchiyama. She spent the last four years of her life at Delmar Gardens Chesterfield and received loving care. Her family will miss her love, wisdom, keen insight and indomitable spirit. May she rest in peace.
