Sally (Tondow) Bobrow, 80, of West Hartford, CT and Delray Beach, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday December 11, 2013. Born in California, daughter of the late Milton and Florence Tondow, she leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Nathan, three sons and their wives, Randy and Dorie of West Hartford, Scott and Ellen of Wethersfield, and Jeffrey and Donna of Bloomfield, 13 grandchildren, Austin Bobrow, Jaime and Cyndee Bobrow, Evan and Dina Bobrow, Kimberly and Jason DiBella, Mindy and Jeremy Jason, Randa and Joe Muzzio, and Lynn McKenney and Tim Wright, eight great-grandchildren, her sisters Fremet Clymer of Delray Beach, FL and Michelle and her husband Jim Lakin of Galesburg IL, several nieces and nephews including Shelly and Jill Clymer, and her dearest friend, Beatrice Levine. She was predeceased by two sons, Lewis and David, and her brother-in-law Gerald Clymer. Sally loved the beach and spent many summers at Old Colony Beach in Old Lyme with her family. She enjoyed playing mahjong, and was a longtime member of Beth Hillel Synagogue, Devorah and ORT. The family would like to extend thanks to the caring staff at Hebrew Health Care of West Hartford.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday December 13, 2013 in the Chapel of Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT, with Rabbi Philip Lazowski officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 1pm-4pm and Saturday from 7pm-9pm at the home of Randy and Dorie Bobrow, 28 Carlyle Road West Hartford, CT.
