Thank you, Ms. Kaplan, for encouraging me and believing in me when most teachers did not in high school. You never held any judgment against anybody you taught, and I always admired your empathy for the misfortune of others. You have touched more lives than you would ever have known.

I am both deeply shocked & greatly saddened to learn of Sara’s (z”l) passing. I knew her over the course of many years. Years ago when I served as Hillel director at UCONN in Storrs, I considered her to be one of my finest students. I always felt that I had had much influence on her as she pursued her interest in Judaism. More recently I knew her living in West Hartford & especially would always enjoy seeing her at the Emanuel Synagogue. Her warm & friendly presence will be greatly missed by all. May her memory be for a blessing. Amen.

Dear Sara,
I was shocked to learn of your passing. Though we haven't been in touch for many years, I will always remember your kindness and thoughtfulness, your playful smile.
I'm sorry for many things that I never asked forgiveness for...
May your soul have an aliyah, and may the love that you imparted to your family and friends help perpetuate your memory.
