Saul Siegel, beloved husband, father, grandfather and cherished son of Abraham and Alice Siegel, passed away peacefully at the age of 77. He was predeceased by his parents, and older siblings, David and Cynthia. He leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories with his devoted wife, Karen, his loving daughter, Jodi, and his caring son, Jason and his wife Ava Nepaul, who all stood by him throughout his journey in life. His grandchildren Joseph, Max and Sadie brought him true nachas and lit up his face, just with the mention of any one of their names.
Saul was a master book binder and a respected small business owner, who dedicated his life to his craft and his family. He inherited a strong work ethic and a passion for life which he carried into every endeavor. His business was a testament to his professional dedication and a reflection of his commitment to his family’s well-being and future.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Saul found true enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid TV watcher, finding both comfort and joy in the stories and characters he followed. His love of the open water and sailing was a passion which remained kindled from his youth, spurred by his Uncle Peter. Saul’s love for casinos was well-known among his friends and family, as he delighted in the thrill of the game. Perhaps one of his most cherished pastimes was cooking, a hobby that allowed him to express his love and care for his family and friends through his delicious meals.
We are also blessed that we can remember his spirit through the art he shared with many of us. His creative passion found expression through water colors and silk screening.
Saul believed in finding happiness in everyday activities and the importance of spending time with loved ones. His devilish nature, warm smile, and story telling will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity (Jewish National Fund – jnf.org) close to Saul’s heart, in honor of his spirit of generosity and love for helping others.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Saul’s life, where family and friends can come together to share stories and remember the man who brought so much joy and warmth into their lives. Saul Siegel’s presence will be sorely missed, but his memory and the joy he brought to those around him will forever be cherished.
