Zena Littman Bokoff, 76 of Norwich, and Boca Raton, FL died at home surrounded by her children on Thursday, May 2nd, 2013.
Zena was born in New London on February 18, 1937, the daughter of Sidney and Stelle (Gruskin) Littman. She attended Harbor School and was a member of the first graduating class of New London High School in 1955. She attended Boston University.
Zena worked in her early years at Health Education and Welfare Department in New York City and at the Sub Base in Groton and in Hartford.
On June 14, 1964, Zena married Harry Bokoff at Beth El Synagogue in New London.
Zena is survived by her children Marc J Bokoff of Norwich and Gail B. Keim (Dan) of Livingston, NJ. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Bill, & Hilary Bokoff, and Harrison & Ben Keim. Zena was pre-deceased by her sister, Edythe (Littman) Goldberg.
Zena was a member of Beth Jacob Synagogue, Norwich. She was an accomplished pianist and an avid card and Mah Jongg player, active in Beth Jacob Sisterhood and a Life Member of Hadassah.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 5th at 2:30 PM in the Sanctuary of Beth Jacob Synagogue, 400 New London Turnpike, Norwich, 06360 with burial following in the First Hebrew Society Cemetery, Preston. Shivah will be observed Sunday-Thursday at 88 Weber Farm Rd, Norwich. Minyan will be held each evening Sunday-Thursday at 7PM.
