Miriam (Baidack) Tankle, 83, of Tunxis Ave., Bloomfield, widow of Norton Tankle, died Tuesday, August 22, 2006. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Myron E. and Anna (Stroh) Baidack. She was a graduate of Weaver High School, Hartford, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was a former member of Beth Hillel Synagogue, Bloomfield, and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She leaves a son, David M. Tankle of Windsor; a daughter, Roberta Skiba and her husband David of Enfield; two grandchildren: Scott Ruchin and Fawn Solmonson; three nieces: Carol Marzano, Nancy Gershman and Ann Pava; and a sister-in-law Sonia Baidack. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2006 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, East Granby. A memorial period will be observed at the home of Nancy and Jay Gershman, 33 Cliffmore Rd., West Hartford on Friday following the funeral and Sunday afternoon from 1-5 pm.
